Cultured HCT116 colon cancer cells immunostained with antibody against clathrin heavy and light chains (cyan). The image is a merge of the same area captured with conventional confocal microscopy and STED super resolution microscopy collected on the Abberior STED system. The improved resolution of STED allows the central hole in the clathrin coated pits to be resolved.
